Submissions

THE ALCHEMY PRESS IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS OR PROPOSALS FOR NOVELS, NOVELLAS OR COLLECTIONS. ANYTHING SENT WILL BE RETURNED UNREAD. BUT WE ARE LOOKING FOR STORIES FOR OUR NEW ANTHOLOGY — SEE HERE

At present we are not accepting individual short stories for anthologies. Keep an eye on these pages for any future markets. Our main interest is in novellas (under 30,000 words) and short story collections and anthologies. If you wish to contact us regarding any of these do so via the contact form below. Tell us what category your work falls into (fantasy, horror, weird fiction and so on) and for novellas please include a brief summary. Include a link to your website/blog that lists your writing credits. Do not send us your stories or novella with your proposal. Let us know if this is a simultaneous submission (with other publishers).

Infrequently we send out a newsletter detailing exciting news (well, we think it’s exciting). If you wish to receive this please add your name to the mailing list by visiting this page.

      • In the comment section is this where we submit our works. What if we do not have previous publications and want a great publisher like Alchemy to take a chance upon us youthful horror/weird fiction pups?

  1. Hi Zak.This is where you pitch your idea(s) and if we want to see more we’ll ask for a file attachment. Don’t forget to send your proposal during the open window (Oct-Dec). The Alchemy Press is keen to discover new talent, although we do suggest that new writers submit to as many different anthologies and markets as possible to gain experience. At the moment we do not have plans for a new anthology.

  2. Greetings!
I was wondering if Alchemy Press would be interested in a two-part dark fiction piece, 10k words? O think it would go well in one of your upcoming anthologies. Please let me know if you think you might be interested and I’ll be happy to send it along. Thank You Very Much!

    Great Regards,
    David B. Harrington
