The Alchemy Press Book of Horrors is available in print form and for a variety of eBook platforms. And while you wait for the next volume of Best British Horror we suggest you read this year’s book (published by the excellent Newcon Press). Here we are, coming up to the end of July and as always it is all systems go here at Alchemy Manor. First up is the short list for the British Fantasy Society Awards, which were announced this week. We are tickled pink to see the Alchemy Press nominated in no less than four categories, namely:
In case you’ve forgotten: Merry-Go-Round and Other Words by Bryn Fortey collects the best from the author’s oeuvre, from his first horror story publication to stories appearing here for the first time. The contents range from across the horror and science fiction fields, with a bit between.Merry-Go-Round also includes his heart-felt poetry. The 350-page book comes with a moving tribute by Johnny Mains. An essential collection.
… a very good book, and not just because of my long-standing friendship with the author. There’s science fiction in here, for Heaven’s sake. Anyone who can get me reading, and even enjoying, that has got to be worth a wider audience.
Merry-Go-Round and Other Words by Bryn Fortey is now at the printers. Copies should be available in a few weeks. The book includes the cream of Bryn’s short stories, accompanied by an array of poems. Johnny Mains provides the introduction.
