Alchemy Towers is deep in an editing and commissioning labyrinth, as we work our way through to many new and exciting publications that will be coming to you over the next few months!

The first of these will be Tell No Lies, a collection of stunning stories by John Grant. John is author of some seventy books, of which about twenty-five are fiction, including novels like The World, The Hundredfold Problem, The Far-Enough Window, The Dragons of Manhattan and Leaving Fortusa. His “book-length fiction” Dragonhenge, illustrated by Bob Eggleton, was shortlisted for a Hugo Award in 2003; its successor was The Stardragons. His first story collection, Take No Prisoners, appeared in 2004. His anthology New Writings in the Fantastic was shortlisted for a British Fantasy Award. His novellas The City in These Pages and The Lonely Hunter appeared from PS Publishing.

Following our success at FantasyCon, winning the BFS’s Best Small Press 2014, we have had stories from our titles chosen for, or highly recommended, in several ‘Best Of…’ anthologies. Last year’s Doors to Elsewhere, according to Stephen Jones, editor of The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 25, is packed with “terrific essays”.

We have also produced our first in-house video, announcing a collection by Mike Chinn, Give Me Back These Moments.

It seems a long time ago, now, our holiday in Cyprus for Peter’s daughter’s wedding. We’re delighted to announce that everything went well – despite the pre-booked venue, a fort on the seafront, had become a building site. Helen and Neil managed to find arrange for different venue for the ceremony, one that was in fact a better choice. Talk about horror stories!
